The Portuguese skater Gustavo Ribeiro will only compete on Monday, after rain postponed the street event scheduled for this Saturday, confirmed the Olympic Committee of Portugal.
Eighth in Tokyo 2020, Gustavo Ribeiro was supposed to compete this weekend in the street qualifiers at 12 PM local time (11 AM in Lisbon), with the final set for 5 PM in Paris (4 PM in mainland Portugal), but the rain that has been pouring continuously in the French capital since Friday afternoon led to the postponement of the competition.
Thus, the Portuguese skater, who was the great hope of the Portuguese mission on the first day of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, will only take action on Monday, with the qualifiers and the final scheduled for the same time.
The rain could also delay or postpone the debut of tennis player Nuno Borges, who will face Argentine Mariano Navone in the second match of the morning session this Saturday, starting at 12 PM on court 10 of Roland Garros.
