Rainbow Six will be coming to Mobile soon

The gaming company Ubisoft has announced Rainbow Six Mobile, a mobile version of the tactical action game that will be released later this year for smartphones and tablets.

The announcement comes after more than three years of development, and aims to recruit players who will want to join the testing round of the game, which is expected to begin in the coming weeks. You can pre-register for these tests through the game’s official website.

Ubisoft describes Rainbow Six Mobile as a game inspired by the older Rainbow Six Siege, with battles between two teams of five players each, the same maps, weapons and special abilities. The game is even developed at the company’s offices in Montreal, in close proximity to the team responsible for the popular PC and console version.

But of course the experience will not be exactly the same, with an interface specially adapted for control via touch screens, various visual changes, and shorter battles. “Our goal is not to make you stop playing on your computer or console and work on your phone,” the game developers write. “Because we do not take our computer screens everywhere, Raindow Six Mobile will allow you to play the game you love in short, accessible rounds, and will also bring in millions of new players.”

Later this month, Ubisoft is expected to close its Battle Royale game Hyper Scape, after failing to recruit a large number of players. It seems that in the case of Rainbow Six Mobile, the company will try to establish itself with a different and unique experience, with few direct competitors.
