Rains leave at least 400 dead in Afghanistan

At least 400 people have dead this Wednesday due to the floods that have hit different provinces of Afghanistan, as reported by the Afghan channel Tolo News. “The injured have been evacuated to hospitals. People whose residences were damaged by the floods have been evacuated and tents have been provided,” said Afghan Deputy Minister of Natural Disaster Management Mawlawi Sharfuddin Muslim.

Likewise, the floods have caused economic losses to the residents, according to the State Ministry of Natural Disaster Management, such and such has collected the said canal. Heavy rains have affected the provinces of Kunar, Nangarhar, Nuristan, Laghman, Panjshir, Parwan, Kabul, Kapisa, Maidan Wardak, Bamiyan, Ghazni, Logar, Samangan, Sar-e-Pul, Tahar, Paktia, Jost and Daikundi, as well as to the Salang areas.
