Madurai: On the importance of rainwater harvesting in schools, HCL and Sugam Trusts are jointly conducting activities. 13,000 liter rainwater harvesting tanks are installed in schools to meet the drinking water needs of students and teachers. The above organizations have been implementing this scheme in 15 schools of the corporation since 2019. At present, this scheme has been implemented in Madurai Balamantram High School. They handed it over to the school head collector Anish Shekhar. School Secretary Somasundaram, Treasurer Srinivasan, Headmistress P. Saikeetha, Teachers Kalaivani, Jayachandran, Mayandithurai, Kannan, HCL, Foundation Administrator Prabhakar, Sugam Principal Executive Officer Rajapandian, Coordinator Saravanan participated in the event.
