B.P. in most parts of the country. The Department of Meteorology said that there is a possibility of occasional rain or thundershowers after one hour.
The meteorological report released today said that the low pressure area in the southwestern Bay of Bengal continues to be located east of Sri Lanka.
The report further stated,
Upper Sabaragamuwa, Central, North Western and Uva provinces and some places in the Galle and Matara districts are expected to receive more than 100 mm of rain.
The northern, eastern and southern provinces are also expected to receive showers in the morning. Occasional strong winds may blow over the area during thundershowers.
The Department of Meteorology has advised the public to take necessary precautionary measures to minimize the possible damages caused by lightning strikes.
