Public Administration Reforms Commission chief Abdul Mueed Chowdhury said there is a justification for increasing the age limit for entering government jobs.

He told this to reporters at the Secretariat on Wednesday (October 2) after a meeting with agitators demanding to increase the age limit for entering government jobs.

Abdul Mueed Chowdhury said that a movement has been going on for a long time regarding the age limit for entering the job. Based on this, the government has made a committee of five members. We have been asked to report within the next week.

He said, we sat with those who are agitating for increasing the age limit. We will take a decision in this regard by considering everything in the light of the current policies of the government and the future course of action and the overall situation. There is no doubt that there is a justification for raising the age.

At the same time, the government wants to make a decision within the next seven working days regarding the increase in the age limit for entry into government service, said Russell Mahmud, the coordinator of the agitators who are 35 years old.
