Kochi: The PDP Central Committee has said that the move to raise the age of marriage for women to 21 is a step towards a single civil code. It is an encroachment on the individual liberty guaranteed by the Constitution. In a statement, state general secretary Jafar Ali Darimi called for an end to government interference in personal law.
