Jhunjhunu: Bhajanlal government of Rajasthan has started a scheme for the disabled. In case both husband and wife are disabled or one of them is disabled, they can avail the benefit of this scheme. Under this scheme, grant assistance ranging from Rs 50 thousand to Rs 5 lakh is given to disabled couples. According to sources, a scheme of this type was operational from 2017-18. During that time thousands of people got help. The name of the scheme was also different, but now the state Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sarkar has increased the amount of assistance by lakhs by launching the scheme named ‘Sukhd Dampatya Jeevan Yojana’.

Financial assistance to economically weaker sections and specially abled people

According to Jhunjhunu District Collector Ramavatar Meena, the main goal of the government is to provide financial assistance to the economically weaker section of the society, under the name of Sukhadya Sampada Jeevan Yojana. So that the financial obstacles can be removed in the way of a happy and prosperous life for the specially abled people and help in improving the standard of living economically and socially.

The Happy Marriage Grant Scheme, which was started during the time of the previous Congress government, was amended from time to time and the amount of assistance was increased. Now the present Bhajan Lal government has started the Happy Married Life Scheme. The scheme is now providing assistance up to Rs 5 lakh per couple.

Assistance amount based on percentage of disability

Here, according to Jhunjhunu District Collector Ramavatar Meena, to lead a happy married life, under the scheme, specially abled people with 40 percent and more disability will be given Rs 50 thousand per couple, and specially abled people with 80 percent and more disability will be given Rs 5 lakh per couple. Grant assistance of Rs. The Collector has appealed to the disabled couple to apply and take advantage of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma’s scheme to strengthen the disabled.

Benefits of the scheme if both are disabled or one is disabled

According to Priyanka Pareek, Deputy Director of the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, such young men and women, both of whom are disabled or one of them is disabled, can take advantage of the scheme. It was told that the Happy Married Life Scheme is being successfully run by the Directorate of Specially Qualified People of Bhajan Lal Government.

Application will have to be made within six months of marriage

He said that for the application, young men and women with annual family income up to Rs 2.5 lakh from all sources will have to apply within 6 months of marriage. Application should be through e-Mitra or SJMS DSAP of sso.rajasthan.gov.in. At the time of application, documents like disability certificate, marriage certificate, date of birth certificate, income certificate, affidavit of parents of bride and groom, affidavit of not having received grant money in the past will have to be given. To avail the benefits of the scheme, the eligible boy and girl should be native of Rajasthan.
