Jaipur :Bharatiya Janata Party has released the list of star campaigners for the by-elections to be held on seven assembly seats of Rajasthan. A total of 40 leaders including Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, party state president Madan Rathod and state in-charge Radha Mohan Das Agarwal are included in this list. These 40 leaders include four Union ministers, five Rajya Sabha MPs, two Lok Sabha MPs, both Deputy Chief Ministers and six ministers of the Bhajan Lal government. Among the current MLAs, only Baba Balaknath and Jitendra Gothwal have been included in the list of star campaigners.
Defeated leaders are also in the list of star campaigners
The leaders who lost in the assembly elections held in November 2023 and the Lok Sabha elections held in April-May 2024 have also been included in the list of star campaigners. Former BJP state president Satish Poonia and former leader of opposition Rajendra Rathore had to face defeat. Both these leaders have been included in the list of star campaigners. Former minister Prabhulal Saini also had to face defeat. Saini’s name is also in this list. Talking about Lok Sabha elections, former Union Minister Kailash Choudhary and Dr. Jyoti Mirdha had to face defeat. Despite this, the party has made both the leaders star campaigners.
