Bheraram Bhakhar of Rajasthan is called master of plants, know how he made the barren area of Rajasthan green by planting four lakh saplings.

Rajasthan means desert and big forts, such a picture is formed in the mind of all of us. But on the contrary, Bheraram Bhakhar, a teacher from Barmer, has been trying to make the barren area green for the last 24 years. Under this initiative, he has so far planted more than four lakh saplings in many areas of Rajasthan. The best part is that Bheraram does this work at his own expense. That’s why today he has become famous in his area as the plant master.

In fact, during his college days in 1999, Bheraram, along with his friends, had planted about 50 saplings in the village temple. After this incident, he felt so relieved that he decided that he would continue this work throughout his life. After this Bheraram started working as a teacher in the year 2002.

At that time, Bheraram spent his first salary for the environment and decided that every year he would spend one month’s salary for environmental protection. He started purchasing native trees and planting them in his school and public areas of his village.

Bheraram says that during that time many people also made fun of him. But this did not make any difference to him. Using people’s taunts and jokes as his strength, he continued working for the environment. He started doing small programs to create awareness about the environment among the children and people of his school. He would appeal to people to give them free saplings and plant them around them and make them a green member of their home.

With time, he got support from other environmental lovers like him and his campaign also gained momentum. Bheraram then started working against plastic and for the protection of animals and birds. In this way, today he has saved more than 500 wild animals. Because of these efforts, today people call him plant teacher.

Bheraram, who has dedicated his entire life to the environment, is a true hero of the society and an inspiration for all of us. You can connect with them on social media to know more about them.
