Anirudh is set to compose music for Rajinikanth’s ‘Leader 169’ (Thalaivar 169) directed by Nelson. The film is being produced by Sun Pictures.
Rajinikanth is a rising star in the Tamil film industry. The last film he acted in was Annatha. Directed by Siva, the film starred Nayanthara, Khushbu, Meena and Keerthi Suresh. However the film did not meet with the expected success. Thus Rajini, who was very careful in the next film selection, kept asking the story to various directors.
In that sense, the list of directors for Rajinikanth’s next film was based on the names of director Desingu Periyasamy, KS Ravikumar, Karthik Supuraj, Pandiraj, Venkatprabhu and Mishkin (mysskin).
Last on the list is Nelson. Nelson, who is currently directing Vijay’s Beast, recently met Rajini and told her a story. Rajini liked the story so much that she dismissed all the waiting directors and said OK to Nelson.
The official announcement was made last week. Anirudh is set to compose music for the upcoming film to be produced by Sun Pictures. The crew also released a video of Rajini wearing a court suit and looking ugly.
