However, the fact that Murali did not own the foreign ownership of Kanzana 3 and that I Rudran was dropped with the announcement has come to the notice of those concerned of late. The check for Rs 5 crore issued by Murali has also been returned without payment.

Earlier last year, Malik’s Tamil Nadu managing director lodged a complaint with the Chennai police commissioner’s office seeking action against Murali, who had repeatedly deceived them. However, the police dismissed the complaint in June without taking any action on the complaint. In this case, the producer has again complained to Murali with relevant evidence.
The Central Criminal Division, which investigated the complaint, accepted the complaint and filed a case against producer Murali in two divisions. A notice is to be sent to Murali soon seeking clarification on the complaint.
