Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov wished the new Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Moscow Rakhman Mustafayev success in his professional activities.
As Day.Az reports with reference to TASS, this is stated in a message on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
“On October 4, the appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Russian Federation, Rahman Mustafayev, was received by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergei Lavrov,” the text of the message says. “The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry warmly welcomed the head of the diplomatic mission of a friendly state – a strategic partner and ally of our country and I wished him success in his activities.”
The Russian Foreign Ministry added that later Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin also held a meeting with Mustafayev, during which the ambassador gave him copies of his credentials.
“During the conversation, the progressive development of Russian-Azerbaijani relations was stated, some current topics on the bilateral agenda were discussed. The schedule of immediate interstate contacts was considered,” the Russian diplomatic department indicated.
