Kathmandu: The Nepalese government may take action against Pathanjali chief Ramdevi’s two television channels. It is alleged that television channels are operating in the country without permission and without following due process.

A senior official said action would be taken against the two television channels if the crimes were proved. Nepalese Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Dube and Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal have jointly launched Ramdevi’s Aastha Nepal TV and Pathanjali Nepal TV. തത്. Acharya Balakrishna, Ramdevi’s close aide, was also present on the occasion. Both the channels are for broadcasting religious and yoga related programs.

However, Gogan Bahadur Hamal, director general of the Information and Broadcasting Department of Nepal, said the two had not applied for the registration of a television channel to operate in the country and had not followed the required procedures to launch the channel. He said action would be taken if both the channels were found to be operating illegally.

Pathanjali said the company has started verification process for the television channels at the Registrar’s Office and for the necessary permits to operate the channels. Television channels are not yet operational. Only technical preparations have begun. Pathanjali also said that the television broadcasting office building was only inaugurated.
