The effect of political turmoil seen in Himachal Pradesh can also be seen in Congress party’s strongholds Amethi and Rae Bareli. The distance from Shimla to Amethi and Rae Bareli is more than 1000 kilometers, but the storm there may soon affect the stronghold of the Gandhi family in Uttar Pradesh.

In Himachal, the government itself is in trouble
The impact of Ram Mandir issue was seen not only in UP, Himachal but also in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. Veteran Congress MLA in Gujarat CJ Chavda left the party. 65-year-old CJ Chavda was the MLA from Vijapur seat of Mehsana. Talking about MP, there were reports about veteran Congress leader Kamal Nath and his son that they may join BJP. In this also the issue of Ram temple was important. There was talk that Kamal Nath was following the path of soft Hindutva. He took many such decisions during the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections which showed that he had parted ways with the party. However, Congress suffered a crushing defeat during the assembly elections in the state. After this, Kamal Nath was removed from the post of state president. Now there were reports of his distance from the party. However, Kamal Nath himself rejected the news of his joining BJP. He bluntly said that he was not going anywhere.
