Ram Temple on January 1, 2024; Congress tunneled for construction: Amit Shah – Ram Temple

by time news

New Delhi – Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya will be completed by January 1 next year. Amit Shah told the media in Tripura that it was the Congress that undermined the construction of the Ram temple and after the Supreme Court verdict, Prime Minister Modi took the initiative to build the temple.

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had revealed in November that the construction of the temple has reached half way. Yogi also stated that the work will be completed by December 2023. With the Lok Sabha elections due in 2024, the BJP hopes that the opening of the Ram temple will be of great political benefit.

The construction of the Ayodhya temple, which was in legal limbo for decades, started on August 5, 2020 after the Supreme Court verdict. Prime Minister laid the foundation stone. The temple will be built on two floors and will have five mandapams. Special facilities like museum, archives, research center, auditorium, stables and rooms for priests will also be set up for the pilgrims.

In November 2019, a five-member bench of the Supreme Court ruled that the disputed land belonged to the temple. The court had also ordered the Center to provide five acres of land in Ayodhya for construction of a mosque.
