Ramadan begins on Saturday in UAE and Saudi Arabia; From Sunday in Oman

The General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments (Awqaf) announced the case in the UAE on Twitter. Ramadan in Saudi Arabia falls on Saturday, the first day of the month in Saudi Arabia.

After the Isha prayer, the Taraweeh prayer will be performed in the Haram and other mosques in Makkah and Madinah. The UAE Moonlighting Vision Committee met today after the Maghrib prayers.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs announced that the start of Ramadan fasting in Oman will begin on Sunday. As the new moon does not appear on Friday, the 29th of Shabbat, the month of Ramadan will begin on Sunday after completing Shabbat 30 on Saturday, the ministry said.
