In this context, the Committee on Crisis in the United States yesterday announced the start of the month of Ramadan. Accordingly, the first month of Ramadan fasting begins today (Saturday) in the United Arab Emirates. Following this, most of the Gulf countries, including the United Arab Emirates, have announced the start of the first month of Ramadan from today.

According to Islamic belief, it was during this month that the Holy Quran was first bestowed on God by the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) through the angel Gabriel. It is the duty of every Muslim to make a donation during this month called Zakat.

During the holy month of Ramadan, all Muslims observe the obligatory fast of 30 days. In this, Sahar food is eaten before the early morning bazaar prayer. Following this, when the Sahar meal time is over, the fasting person does not even drink water.

This year a maximum of about 14 hours of fasting is to be observed in the United States. This means that on average, food or water should not be consumed between 4.45 am and 6.40 pm (the time of Sahar and Iftar may vary depending on the time of prayer).

Fasting begins in the first month of Ramadan today, as announced by the Committee on Birth Control in the United Arab Emirates yesterday. Due to this the working hours of all government offices and private sectors have been changed.

Fasting is continued for 29 or 30 days during this holy month. This includes the Darawih prayer in the mosques from last night to the night after the Isha prayer in all the mosques. The fast, which begins today, ends in the month of Ramadan and continues until the first day of the month of Shawwal, the month of Ramadan. Ramadan is scheduled to be celebrated on May 2 or 3 (based on the crescent visible).

The US Federal Reserve has announced reduced working hours for government and private companies. The government offices will be open from Monday to Thursday from 9 am to 2.30 pm for 50 hours. Traffic and parking times have also been changed. Emergency services, including ambulances, are allowed to change working hours to suit their needs. The crutch was seen in Oman yesterday evening. The crescent did not appear then. So it was announced that the month of Ramadan starts tomorrow (Sunday) in Oman.
