Ranbir Kapoor and Yash’s mythological epic Ramayana: Part One has crossed Rs 20 crore in worldwide advance bookings, selling approximately 2.25 lakh tickets ahead of its November 5, 2026 theatrical release.
Advance Booking Figures Cross Rs 20 Crore Worldwide
The mythological adaptation opened ticket sales on Dussehra, giving the film a 15-day pre-sales window ahead of its scheduled arrival in cinemas on November 5, 2026. By late October, the production crossed the Rs 20-crore mark in global advance gross, driven by roughly 2.25 lakh ticket sales across India and tracked international territories. The early figures include both regular opening-day bookings and paid preview screenings scheduled for November 4.
Trade analysts have noted that the multi-language project carries immense financial expectations. North America has specifically emerged as a primary international territory, supported by preview screenings set for Wednesday, November 4, which have already pulled in over $550,000 in early receipts. Additional overseas opening-day bookings have crossed $400,000, bringing international momentum alongside domestic figures.

Hindi Version Dominates Sales as Regional Screens Open
The Hindi version leads with 87 percent of total advance sales within the country. Major national multiplex chains such as PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis have anchored the domestic rollout, collectively selling tickets and representing total bookings with a combined gross collection of ₹10.47 crore.
Regional language bookings have expanded gradually following initial negotiations with theatre owners regarding revenue-sharing arrangements. The Kannada version, now screening across around 100 screens, has crossed Rs 1 crore in advance sales, with select centres reporting up to 72 percent occupancy for morning shows. Meanwhile, Telugu screenings opened on a limited basis across 10 to 15 screens, heading toward Rs 40 lakh in pre-sales. State-wise figures indicate Maharashtra leads all regions with 47,309 tickets and ₹3.22 crore in gross collections, followed closely by Karnataka and Telangana.

IMAX Formats Drive Premium Pre-Sales
Premium formats have emerged as a primary catalyst for early ticket purchases. Although IMAX screenings account for only 3.8 percent of the film’s total shows in India, they have generated nearly a quarter of its pre-sales revenue. Regular screenings averaged about 35 tickets per screen, whereas IMAX locations averaged 170 tickets per screen despite higher ticket pricing.
In major metropolitan markets, ticket prices for specialized screenings vary significantly. Select premium showtimes at multiplexes feature listed prices ranging up to ₹1,550 for morning slots and climbing to ₹2,250 for late-morning presentations in major cities.

Analysts Expect Domestic Opening Day of Rs 100 Crore
Trade expectations for the first part of the epic remain high. Trade analyst Komal Nahta anticipates a domestic opening day of Rs 100 crore or more across languages, pointing to a dramatic turnaround in audience sentiment from initial teaser reactions to the final trailer. Fellow trade analyst Ramesh Bala shares an optimistic outlook while emphasizing the importance of execution.
The buzz is increasing. For such epics, there is a strong audience, especially in North India. If the movie is good, the VFX is impressive and the performances are strong, there is a lot of potential. They should be able to recover the money from theatrical business as well.

The film features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, and Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, alongside an ensemble cast including Arun Govil as Dasharatha, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, and Vivek Oberoi as Vidyutjihva. With advance bookings actively climbing ahead of the November release date, the final box office tally will depend heavily on sustained audience turnout and word of mouth during the festive window.
