Rami Levy’s move against Osem: “Kill the operations”

by time news

Most of the Rami Levy branches have removed the types of pasta from the Osem company from the shelves, following the cessation of promotions and discounts. Other retail chains in Israel have taken a similar step and decided to remove the popular pasta packages from the shelves

The Rami Levy supermarket chain does not put the Osem-Nestle group’s pasta packages up for sale, due to the cessation of promotions and discounts. This was reported in The Marker.

Most of the branches in the chain have stopped displaying Osem’s pasta products, and only in individual branches and on the website can you find surplus pasta bags.

“Bassem took down almost all the discounts and promotions they gave us, so Rami told them they would not be on the shelves,” explained an employee of the Sycamore Marketing branch in the center of the country.

In addition to Rami Levy, other food chains are also reporting a similar move by Osem-Nestle. A senior official at another food chain says: “Osem just killed the specials on the pastas. On November 1 they reduced the regular discounts they give us by half and on December 1 they canceled them almost completely.”

The Nestle barn said: “The company has not raised the price of pasta. Any retailer may offer promotions at its discretion.”
