Rammnstein has attended the Civitas Metropolitano in Madrid this Friday and there has been a mass bath in what is the only stop in Spain on its third European stadium tour for 2023, with a loyal audience that has supported the band’s singer, despite the controversy that has arisen in recent weeks over accusations of sexual crimes.
It was last year when this only date in Spain was announced for a tour that has taken the German band to various cities on the continent and still has several stops -the next one, at the Da Luz Stadium in Lisbon next Monday- -. Since then, the public image of the group has suffered due to the aforementioned accusations.
The Berlin Prosecutor’s Office opened an investigation last week into Till Lindemann for alleged sexual offences. Several women assure that they were previously selected and asked if they wanted to attend the party after one of his concerts.
At that party, according to the description of witnesses, sexual acts were performed and cases of violence and abuse are also described. Some of them point out that they were offered alcohol and drugs without asking their age.
The controversy has not influenced the singer’s Spanish fans who have been arriving in an incessant trickle at the Metropolitan Civitas. The doors opened at 6:00 p.m. –an hour later the opening acts Duo Abélard started their engines–, with some fans already waiting in the vicinity of the stadium and forming long lines.
The surroundings have been filled with T-shirts of the band and messages of support for Lindemann, who has received the support of many and many of his fans. Most of the attendees asked by Europa Press while waiting for the queues have rejected the accusations about the singer’s existing controversy.

However, a group of the band’s followers are “sure” that some tours will be cancelled, but they affirm that “an exhaustive follow-up should be done to find out if it is true or not and that it does not affect the band.” In this sense, five friends who have come together but this time have acknowledged that they had “doubts” that the concert held this Friday would be cancelled.

Nor does it seem that the price of the tickets -from 92 to 150 euros for those on the track and from 54 to 129 euros for those with a reserved seat in the stands- has been an obstacle to those who have come to listen to some of the greatest hits. of the metal group filling a large part of the stands –the maximum capacity for concerts is close to 55,000 seats–.
Rammnstein has not renounced some of its most emblematic titles on this tour, which sound live with the usual forcefulness that the band is accustomed to at its shows: from the homonymous track ‘Rammsnteim’ to ‘Du hast’, passing through ‘Ich will’. However, there is also room for recordings from his latest studio album, ‘Zeit’, such as ‘Giftig’ or ‘Angst’.
