Amol Majumdar says it is great to have a great star like Rahane in the Mumbai dressing room

Ahmedabad: Midfielder Ajinkya Rahane is back in action for Indian cricket fans. Rahane returns to Ranji Trophy 2021-22 to end formlessness Mumbai coach Amol Muzumdar has praised Rahane’s commitment to pulling back his safe chair to Team India.
‘It’s great to have a great player like Rahane in the Mumbai dressing room. He is a player with more commitment and enthusiasm than anyone else. How many times you succeed and how many times you fail is not a factor. Rahane’s strength is to go back to the basics and try to excel, ”said Amol Majumdar.
Ajinkya Rahane’s lack of batting form has come under fire for the past two years. Rahane, who has been hailed as India’s most loyal batsman, has a batting average of less than 20 during this period. He lost his vice-captaincy position in 2022 when he scored just 68 runs in two Tests. Rahane also had to bear the brunt of the defeat in the South African series.
Ajinkya Rahane, a senior Indian batsman, took over Mumbai’s defense against Saurashtra in the first match of the Ranji Trophy season. Rahane, along with Sarfraz Khan, led Mumbai to victory after losing skipper Prithviraj Shah (1), Akarshit Gomal (8) and Sachin Yadav (19) in the opening overs. Rahane hit 129 off 290 balls, including 17 fours and two sixes. Sarfraz was unbeaten on 151 off 304 balls. Rahane lifted Mumbai to 296-4 from 44-3.
Amol Majumdar, who played domestic cricket from 1993 to 2013, has scored 11,167 runs in 171 first – class matches. Retirement was announced in 2014. Wasim Jaffer was the top run-getter in the Ranji Trophy before being overtaken. In his first season as a full-time captain, he led Mumbai to the Ranji Trophy. Ajinkya Rahane made her debut for Mumbai under the captaincy of Majumdar.
