Judges are the highest-paid workers in a list of 427 occupations in Brazil, while creative and performing artists have the lowest average income, according to a study by economist Bruno Imaizumi of LCA Consultores.
The analysis uses microdata from the Pnad Contínua (Continuous National Household Sample Survey), published by the IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics).
The list includes occupations that bring together formal or informal professionals in the public and private sectors. The information refers to the monthly effective income in the second quarter of 2023.
The judges ranked first in the table, with an average labor income of R$ 24,732 (US$ 5,000).
At the other end of the analysis, the occupation described as creative and performing artists had an average income of R$ 509 (US$ 99) per month, the lowest on the classification table.
