Ranveer Singh Nude Photo Controversy: Vivek Agnihotri, director of Kashmir Files movie, said that the FIR against Ranveer Singh’s nude photo shoot is stupid and conservative thinking.

“Will men’s sentiments be hurt when bold pictures of women come? This action shows a very conservative mindset. I don’t support that,” Vivek said. He further pointed out that it is just stupid and a topic that is being discussed for no reason.

“The human body has always been valued in our culture. I would say the human body is God’s most beautiful creation. What’s wrong with that? Some support Ranveer Singh’s films, some oppose it and call it garbage of the mind”, he said.

After Ranveer Singh’s nude photo shoot became controversial, this is the first time that a prominent person in the film industry has come out in support.

Meanwhile, an FIR has been registered in Mumbai against the actor who did the nude photo shoot. The complaint has been filed stating that he has hurt the sentiments of women and insulted their dignity through his nude photos. The complainants demanded that a case be registered against the actor under various sections of the Information Technology Act and the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Based on the complaint, Ranveer has been booked under sections 292 (sale of obscene books), 293 (sale of obscene material to minors) and 509 (dignity of woman) of the Indian Penal Code. An FIR has been registered against Ranveer Singh for words, signs or acts with intent to offend, and under the provisions of the Information Technology Act.
