Raphaël Varane’s Injury Crisis: Out of Como’s Serie A Squad as Recovery Uncertainty Grows

by time news

Raphaël Varane has been excluded from the Serie A list of Como, engaged in the match against Udinese in the next round of the league. The defender, who arrived at the end of July, is still out due to a knee problem sustained in the Coppa Italia against Sampdoria on August 11th. He was supposed to recover within 3 to 4 weeks from the time of the injury, but as of now, it is still unknown when he will return. For this reason, he is currently off the list and Como will add him later if the player is fit. This latest injury could certainly jeopardize his future at Como, as well as the continuation of his career.

Fabregas’ words in the press conference

Cesc Fabregas also addressed the topic in the press conference: “Let’s see what can happen with Varane, it’s his decision, we need to understand how he is and how he feels, for now, he has not yet recovered well and we need to wait a little longer. I’m not the one who can decide for them, I have to wait and respect any decision made by the individuals.”
