Rapper Kanye West refuses to share new album with YouTube and Apple

by time news

Kanye West’s new album Donda 2 will only be available on Stem, his company’s player. The album will not be released on YouTube, Apple Music, Spotify and Amazon, the singer announced on his Instagram.

“Today, artists only get 12% of the money the industry makes. It’s time to free music from this repressive system. It’s time to take control of everything, ”Kanye West commented on his decision.

The rapper urged subscribers to order his player and left a link to it. However, Russia is not in the list of countries to which the Stem Player is delivered.

Recall that Kanye West’s company Yeezy Tech, together with the startup Kano, which creates electronics for children, released the Donda Stem Player music player (price $200) in the summer of 2021. The player was already loaded with the old Kanye West album “Donda”.

Donda 2 is set to release on February 22 this year.
