“Both teams will do their best. It will be a tough game.”

As reported by İdman.biz, this was stated by Zire head coach Rashad Sadykhov at a press conference held before the return match with Osijek in the third qualifying round of the Conference League.

First, he congratulated Karabakh, which reached the playoffs of the Champions League, and wished success to Sabah, which will play in the Conference League on August 15. Sadykhov noted that his team will have a difficult match in the European Cups:

“We will play an important game. Both teams have ambitious players who can turn the match in their favor. Time will tell what will happen. It is sad that the pitch is not in good condition. The situation is even worse. This can also prevent us from showing a technical game.”

– Did you all watch the Karabakh game? How did this victory affect Zire?

– Everyone watched the game. If the champion of Azerbaijan wins a beautiful victory over an experienced club, it can instill confidence in our players. But everything will be decided in the duel between us.

– You are performing well both in the Premier League and in the Conference League. What goals has Rashad Sadykhov set for himself this season?

– The season has just begun. It is too early to talk about goals. As a team, our goal is to get through this stage. We do not yet know how many stages we will go through. At the moment, we are only thinking about tomorrow’s match. This meeting is very important for the coaches and players. We will have a very good team in front of us. We will try our best to win. Even in the championship, the club’s management never sets big goals for us. The main thing is the quality of the players and the team. For this reason, we started well in the Premier League and, at the very least, want to play in the European Cups again. From the first round, it feels like many clubs are more ambitious this season.

– Will there be new transfers if you pass the stage?

– We don’t think about it. The main thing is tomorrow’s game. We’re not interested in anyone.

– Is there any concern within the team about tomorrow’s game?

– No. If we were playing away, we would be worried. It happened in the games with Sheriff and other teams. They can take advantage of our mistakes, and we can take advantage of theirs. We can properly prepare for tomorrow’s match.

– Salifa Suma’s punishment has expired. Will you give him a chance in the game against Osijek?

– I can’t talk about the lineup. It’s good that his punishment is over. He can play tomorrow and from the first minutes, and he can come out on the field later. We will do everything possible to go to the match in the optimal lineup. Tomorrow we have a difficult day.

– Are you satisfied with the current state of the players after two tough games?

– Yesterday my players were fully rested. After the match with Sabah we had two training sessions. Today we will be fully prepared. Today I will know exactly what condition they are in.

– Did you analyze your opponent again after the first game?

– Of course, we did it. If there were any shortcomings in our game, we will try to eliminate them all.

– Who is to blame for the stadiums being in such a state? Can you do anything about it as a club?

– Unfortunately, we cannot play on our own field. We rent this place, so we cannot demand anything. The condition of the field did not allow us to show technical football in the match with Sheriff. The factor you mentioned is very disappointing. Despite all the financial support, the condition of the fields is deplorable. I hope this factor will not affect us negatively.

It should be noted that the match will take place on August 15 and will start at 20:30 at the Dalga Arena. The first match in Croatia ended with a score of 1:1.
