Rashid Arrives in Street Fighter 6: Release Date and In-Game Render Revealed

by time news

Rashid’s arrival is stated to be ‘imminent’

Earlier this morning, Capcom released a first look at what appears to be Rashid’s in-game render in Street Fighter 6. Up until this point, we’ve only seen some Street Fighter 6 concept art for Rashid.

Of course, Rashid looks just as he did in the released concept art for him. Needless to say, he’s undergone a few changes since his appearance in Street Fighter 5.

Rashid is showing to be smiling during his in-game render. His pose is less of a fighting stance and more of a welcoming gesture.

Instead of a white turban that fully covers the top of his head, he appears to have some new headgear in which the top is open at. Needless to say, some of his hair can be observed protruding out of the headgear.

Aside from a black cross belt, Rashid is now showing off his bare chest. He’s also wearing an opened up black and gold top that is too short to reach his stomach.

It seems that Rashid’s release into Street Fighter 6 is now “imminent.” In celebration of Rashid’s upcoming release, Capcom has released a “Rashid Arrives!” Fighting Pass.

The “Rashid Arrives!” Fighting Pass can be acquired for 250 Fighter Coins and will be available from July 4 until July 23. This seems to suggest that Capcom is expecting to release Rashid shortly after this timespan.

With the “Rashid Arrives!” Fighting Pass, it would appear that players can acquire plenty of avatar gear that reference Rashid. It’s certainly worth noting that one of these pieces of avatar gear includes an eyepiece that resembles a “scouter” from the Dragon Ball Z series, though this eyepiece is a reference to Rashid’s Street Fighter 5 appearance rather than his Street Fighter 6 appearance.

The music that is being made available with this Fighting Pass are the themes for Rashid, Laura, and Necalli. As of right now, it’s unknown what this means for Laura and Necalli’s chances as future DLC in Street Fighter 6.

There are also a number of stickers that not only reference Rashid, but also his butler Azam — a character that never became playable in Street Fighter 5 despite the character’s appearance in the “A Shadow Falls” single player mode in Street Fighter 5.

In a tweet from the official Street Fighter account, they stated, “Air currents are quickly rising! Prepare for the imminent arrival of the Turbulent Wind with the “Rashid Arrives!” Fighting Pass from July 4-23 for 250 Fighter Coins. The storm is about to land in #StreetFighter6.”

Fans of the game are eagerly awaiting Rashid’s arrival and are excited to see how he will be integrated into Street Fighter 6.
