Mumbai: Rashid Khan will be the co-captain of the Gujarat Titans, who are set to make their debut in the Indian Premier League. Gujarat have announced a new vice-captain ahead of their match against another team, the Lucknow Super Giants.
Captain Hardik Pandya informed the other team members about this during the team meeting held at the ground. Rashid is one of the first three players to be acquired by Gujarat. Rashid is a player who is familiar with the captaincy.
Rashid, an Afghan, has led the national team in all three formats. Rashid, who has been active in the IPL since 2017, played for Sunrisers Hyderabad till 2021. He took 93 wickets in 76 matches.
Gujarat acquired Rashid for Rs 15 crore in the new season.
