Glavchev’s second official cabinet is sworn in on Tuesday, the president signs the decree for elections on October 27
The hottest post – that of the Minister of the Interior Atanas Ilkov, is the choice of acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev, made in consultation with President Rumen Radev.
This is the answer to the politicians who turned the Ministry of Interior into the most important point of the executive power. Thus, Rashkov will most likely become the head of the police, but not Boyko. It is about the deputy head of the GDBOP Miroslav Rashkov. He has been with the anti-mafias since 2021, and since last year he has been among Yavor Serafimov’s deputies. He was the head of the economic police in the National Police, he also worked in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Sofia Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The other conjugated name is Kaloyan Miltenov. Since last year, he has been Ilkov’s deputy in the National Police, before that he was the head of the SDVR for 2 years. Between July 2019 and 2020, he headed the ODMVR – Kardzhali. Then he was demoted to head of the Center for Specialization and Professional Training in Kazanlak. However, as acting interior minister Boyko Rashkov makes him deputy head of the GDNP. He has already once led the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as an acting minister, and he agreed to take up the position in the unrealized “Kozhareva” cabinet. In the series of elections in recent years, the diplomat headed the group in External for organizing and holding the vote abroad.
