In a LinkedIn post posted by Aditi Bhosale Valunj, “When we started Repos we had no business experience. We needed a mentor when trying to grow the company.

Ratan Tata was the only person who came to our mind without any doubt. But my husband said that he cannot be seen easily. Many said that they would never see him. But this could not be accepted as a reason. We sent letters directly to Ratan Tata. We contacted some people and waited outside his house for 12 hours.

Ford left.. Tata Motors bought at a price.. This is the next plan!
Then we went to our hotel. Got a call at 10pm. I spoke reluctantly. ‘I am Ratan Tata speaking. I saw your letter. Can we meet?’ came the reply. Next day at 10.45 am we went to Ratan Tata house.

We waited outside his room with our presentation. At 11 he came to us. It was very quiet. The meeting lasted till 2 pm. In those three hours he not only listened to our idea but also shared his experience and guided us.

He is the reason Repos is where it is today. From Tata Motors helping us, to Ratan Tata talking on the phone, to showing us the first mobile fuel station, to great conversations over coffee, from his first investment in 2019 to now the next round in April 2022, he is responsible for the growth of Repos,” he shared his experiences.
