A van carrying ration rice overturned near DN Palayam. The driver fled.
The cargo van overturned
The cargo van overturned at Thanneerbandal near Kallipatti next to the DN camp in Erode district. The bundles in it were scattered.
Passers-by who saw this informed the Bangalore police. Following that, the police went to the scene and conducted an investigation.
Ration rice bundles
Then they saw the scattered bundles being separated. It was revealed that there were 25 bundles of ration rice in it.
It was revealed that the cargo van was involved in an accident while transporting the ration rice and the driver immediately jumped out of it and fled from there. Following this, the police handed over 25 bundles of ration rice along with the van to the Erode Food Smuggling Prevention Division office.
