Ravens Feel Disrespected Compared to 49ers in Power Rankings: Is the 11-3 Team Underrated?

Ravens Disrespected in Power Rankings, Say They are the Best Team in the League

Baltimore Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton is not happy with how his team is being viewed in the latest power rankings. Despite having an 11-3 record and leading the AFC, the Ravens are ranked unanimously as the No. 2 team, with the San Francisco 49ers holding the top spot. Hamilton feels that there is an imbalance in how the two teams are being perceived and believes that the Ravens are the best team in the league.

“I think the 11-3 [teams] are not created equal right now, in terms of the 49ers versus us, and we feel a little disrespected by that,” Hamilton said. “I feel like we are the best team in the league, and we have an opportunity in front of the country to show it.”

While the 49ers boast a strong offense, the Ravens defense is equally formidable. Leading the league in points per game allowed and yards allowed per play, the Ravens have a historically good defense, and quarterback Lamar Jackson’s offense has a lot of weapons to match the 49ers’ scoring ability.

“The guys definitely have a lot of weapons, but so do we,” said Ravens quarterback, Smith. “I like our team vs. any team.”

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh also shares the sentiment, expressing confidence in his team’s ability to match up against any opponent.

“We feel like we match up well against anybody,” Harbaugh said. “We think we have really excellent players, the highest-level players. It’s going to be hard for us not to match up well. It’s going to be hard to outmatch us – I don’t care who you are. So, we like our matchups, I’m sure they like [theirs] and we’re going to play on Monday night.”

The Ravens will have the opportunity to prove themselves when they face off against the 49ers in a highly anticipated matchup.
