RayNeo Announces New AR Glasses Lineup Featuring Minimalist iO and GT Series

RayNeo has announced a new lineup of augmented reality hardware consisting of the lightweight RayNeo iO Smart Glasses and the cinema-grade RayNeo GT Series, which includes the GT and GT Max models. According to Counterpoint Research Q1 2026 data, RayNeo leads the global consumer AR smart glasses market with a 23.7% market share by shipment volume. All three new models are scheduled to go on sale on September 4, 2026, and will be demonstrated at IFA 2026 in Berlin, according to The Shortcut | Matt Swider. Pricing has not yet been announced.

RayNeo iO and the GT Series represent a fundamental commitment to purpose-built spatial hardware, said Howie Li, founder and CEO of RayNeo, according to TechPowerUp and The Shortcut | Matt Swider. “Rather than compromising with a single device that tries to do everything, we designed two dedicated experiences: the iO as an invisible, all-day assistant for heads-up productivity, and the GT Series as an uncompromising personal cinema for travel and entertainment.”

RayNeo iO Smart Glasses Focus on Ambient Intelligence and Productivity

Aimed at professionals, executives, and multi-screen operators, the RayNeo iO Smart Glasses feature retro Crown Panto styling and weigh 33 grams with a balanced 50:50 front-to-rear weight distribution, as reported by TechPowerUp. The frames are built with an AZ91D magnesium-aluminum alloy and dual aerospace-grade titanium temples. They are available in two colors: Polar Night (Dark Grey) and Dune (Gold).

The iO model utilizes a 0.085cc monochrome green Firefly Nano Engine powering a diffractive Blue Lake waveguide display that achieves 97% optical transparency, a 1,300-nit maximum brightness, and a 23.5-degree field of view. Notably, the iO frames contain no cameras and no built-in speakers. Instead, they integrate a quad-microphone array paired with a bone conduction sensor designed to isolate vocal vibrations for transcription in noisy environments. A hardwired LED status light illuminates whenever recording or translation modules are active.

Powered by the Timekettle BabelOS 3.0 AI translation software, the iO glasses support real-time translation across 55 languages and 109 accents with roughly a second of latency, alongside support for multiple large language models including Gemini, ChatGPT, and Claude. Additional productivity features include an Auto-Teleprompter that dynamically syncs with spoken pace, live transcription, voice memos, notifications, and an Ambient AI Productivity Suite or Ambient AI Life Log. The device includes a physical Smart Crown rotary dial on the right temple, Bluetooth 5.4 with Apple MFi licensing, and IP54 dust and water resistance. Its 240mAh battery provides up to two days of typical usage, including 18 hours of continuous recording or 6.2 hours of continuous translation.

GT Series Delivers Cinema-Grade Spatial Viewing and Dolby Vision

Designed for portable gaming and media consumption, the RayNeo GT Series comprises the standard GT and the GT Max. The standard GT model uses Birdbath optics, weighs 68 grams, offers a 46-degree field of view, and projects a virtual screen measuring up to 231 inches. The GT Max weighs 78 grams, increases the field of view to 59 degrees, and scales up to a 307-inch virtual display. Both GT models support native three-degrees-of-freedom (3DoF) tracking and feature Zone 360 Hardware 3DoF Tracking with three viewing modes: Steady Mode, Pinned Mode, and Follow Mode.

The GT Series is paired with the RayNeo Pocket TV Pro, a separate Google TV-powered streaming device, enabling native Dolby Vision playback alongside real-time AI SDR-to-HDR conversion. Audio on the GT series is handled by a racetrack quad-speaker system co-tuned and designed by Bang & Olufsen, featuring a 6-magnetic circuit design with a 5dB boost in low-frequency sensitivity, head-tracked spatial audio, and Whisper Mode directional sound transmission.
