Award City: Hariharan, his friends DMK executive Junath Ahmed, Praveen, Madasamy and four school children have been arrested in connection with the sexual abuse of a 22-year-old girl in Virudhunagar. The case is being investigated by the CPCIT police. The DMK has temporarily removed Junath Ahmed from all responsibilities. The victim and her mother are being held at a counseling center run by the Department of Social Welfare.
Both are receiving psychiatric counseling. The victim was questioned by the CPCIT police for more than 6 hours on the 25th. CBCID police yesterday raided the homes of 8 people, including 4 boys, who were arrested in the case.
