Ready to abide by the decisions of the Head of State: Prime Minister Information

Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa has told the English media that he is ready to accept any decision taken by the President regarding the post of Prime Minister.

“If the head of state decides to appoint someone else as prime minister, I am ready to accept it and respect the decisions of the head of state,” he said.

Former President Maithripala Sirisena said at a meeting of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party yesterday (Friday) that the head of state had agreed to form an interim government under the new prime minister.
