jpnn.comJAKARTA – Bank Mandiri officially announced the professional women’s volleyball team with the name Jakarta Livin Mandiri (JLM) which will compete in the 2024 Proliga.
The team consisting of talented athletes has been prepared through strict selection and intensive training to face challenges in one of the most prestigious volleyball leagues in Indonesia.
Director of Compliance and Human Resources at Bank Mandiri as Team Manager, Agus Dwi Handaya, said that the formation of JLM was aimed at becoming a talent center for Indonesian women’s volleyball players by developing young players to have a spirit of professionalism and strong character to excel on the local stage.
So that it can bring a good name to Indonesia and use the name Livin’ which represents the spirit of youth and boldness.
“The formation of this team is a form of Bank Mandiri’s commitment as a state-owned company to participate and contribute to the development of Indonesian sports, especially women’s volleyball,” said Agus Dwi at the ceremonial announcement of the Jakarta Livin’ Mandiri (JLM) Women’s Volleyball Team in Jakarta, Friday (19/ 4).
“This is also part of the wellbeing program and HR hero development at Bank Mandiri in line with the HR development program from the Ministry of BUMN,” he added
He believes sports is one of the best ways to build character and teamwork.
“Through the Bank Mandiri volleyball team, we want to show our commitment to developing talent and sports in Indonesia,” said Agus.
He explained that this team consisting of talented athletes had been prepared through strict selection and intensive training to face the challenges of the most prestigious volleyball league in Indonesia.
“We are very enthusiastic about welcoming Proliga 2024 and are confident that JLM will provide the best performance for volleyball fans throughout Indonesia,” he added.
“We also believe, through sport, we can inspire and motivate many people to achieve higher achievements in any field, for Indonesia,” added Agus.
Furthermore, he added that so far Bank Mandiri is known as a talent factory that produces bankers and financial professionals, then his party also wants to make Bank Mandiri through JLM a talent factory for young talented players to become professional Indonesian volleyball players.
The 2024 Proliga is planned to run from April 25 to July 21 in nine cities, namely Yogyakarta, Semarang, Palembang, Pontianak, Bandung, Gresik, Surabaya, Kediri and Solo.
In the women’s sector, the JLM team had to compete with Bandung Bank BJB Tandamata, Jakarta Popsivo Polwan, Jakarta Pertamina Fastron, Gresik Petrokimia Pupuk Indonesia, Jakarta BIN, and Jakarta Elektrik PLN. (jpnn)
