The jtbc program ‘China Class Great Question’, which will air at 10:30 AM on August 25th, will highlight the impact of AI technology on the nature of warfare under the theme of responsible military use of artificial intelligence (AI).
Professor Seung-Seop Lee of KAIST will appear to explain the advancement of AI technology and the international community’s response, and introduce the 2024 REAIM (Responsible AI in the Military domain) high-level meeting to be held in Seoul on September 9-10.
This broadcast was planned to inform the public of the main agenda of the REAIM High-Level Meeting and to increase understanding of the military innovation and ethical challenges that AI technology will bring. The speakers will explain the lecture content in an easy-to-understand manner and convey the connection between AI and the military in an interesting way. It is expected to be an opportunity to think about how AI technology will affect our security environment.
The REAIM High-Level Meeting is the first and largest multilateral meeting launched to promote international discussions on the responsible military development, deployment, and use of AI. The first meeting was held in The Hague, Netherlands last year, and the second meeting will be held in Seoul from September 9 to 10, 2024. Registration for participation is available on the official website until August 29.
