/ The Iraqi Ministry of Finance announced on Friday that the Real Estate Bank Board decided to extend the electronic collection and collection agreement approved by it.

The ministry quoted the bank’s general manager, Abbas Shihab Al-Jawahri, in a statement today, as saying that “electronic collection will contribute to launching spending and disposal without facing temporary deficits in financial revenues due to the slowdown that occurs as a result of traditional methods.”

He explained that “the bank is currently working on preparing an electronic database and moving from manual collection to electronic collection to facilitate the procedures for paying installments for citizens and working to combat the financial and administrative corruption that accompanies traditional collection methods.”

This procedure comes in implementation of the Cabinet’s decisions on electronic collection and taxation and the adoption of the transition from cash financial transactions to electronic transactions and the collection of funds through the application of modern electronic systems, according to the Ministry of Finance.
