Real glares at Azran

by time news

MS Ashdod’s diamond, Noam Ezran (12), is hot in the club’s youth department and juggles between the B children’s group and the A children’s group in the club from the port city. This is the son of the former striker, Yaniv Ezran, who played in Ashdod in the early 2000s until he moved to Maccabi Tel Aviv in 2007, where he injured his knee and made his last appearance on August 1, 2009.

His talented son appears to be continuing in his footsteps and some say he is the next big thing. In comparison, perhaps far-fetched but quite interesting, to Oskar Gloch – the shining diamond of Maccabi Tel Aviv who has already started his first steps in Red Bull Salzburg from the Austrian league.

Young Azran still has a long way to prove himself. The talented child is endowed with many qualities: intelligent, creative, smart, fast and very technical. Noam works very hard to bring the results in the field. The professional staff at the club and the team in particular, under the guidance of Yves Shariky, understand that they have a talented and young player in their hands with a bright future if he continues to persevere.

No wonder that this season he has already scored 25 goals in all formats, both in the B children’s group, to which he belongs, and in the A children’s group, which he joins almost every week and contributes his share. He scored his 25 goals in 18 appearances so far, with only four games without a goal and has an average of 1.78 goals per game.

If his many goals weren’t enough, he and his friends led the Children’s A team to the quarterfinals of the Children’s A Cup, where they will meet Hapoel Tel Aviv North on February 18. He knows it well from the league games, when Ezran’s team defeated the Reds 0:6 in the seventh round. In that game by the way, he was honored with a hat trick. Although there is not really a table in the league, the team has obtained 35 points (11 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss) and is among the three strongest teams in the league.

In the past season (2021/22), the young Azran and his team, together with Eve Shariki on the lines, lifted the Children’s B Cup when they defeated Maccabi Petah Tikva in the final with penalty kicks from 11 meters (4:5) after 2:2 at the end of the legal time to compete. The young player even took part in the final of the club’s C Children’s Cup, in a game in which they lost 7:0 to Maccabi Tel Aviv.

It should be noted that he finished the 2021/22 season with 49 goals, when there are already those who are keeping an eye on the young player both in Israel and abroad. Azran even received an invitation from the Spanish luxury club – Real Madrid. In his fifth season in Ashdod, just before going up to the third grade boys, his breakout begins.
