People’s Artist Quoc Truong Born in 1966 in Que Vo, Bac Ninh. Growing up in the cradle of Quan Ho folk songs, and blessed with a sweet voice, he participated in local art movements from a young age.High school graduation, Royal Scepter He took the entrance exam to the Faculty of Traditional Drama at the Hanoi University of Theatre and Cinema and was taught the craft by People’s Artist Manh Tuan, so he became famous very early in the field of Cheo singing. In his class were Xuan Hinh and Hong Ngát, both of whom became famous in the Northern stage.After graduating, Quoc Truong worked at the Ha Bac Cheo troupe, then the General Department of Logistics Cheo troupe. After 17 years of working here, he was appointed Deputy Head of the General Department of Logistics Art Troupe. Since 2010, he has worked Deputy Director of Army Cheo Theater (formerly the Cheo art troupe of the General Department of Logistics) and is currently the Theater Director with the rank of colonel.During his career, People’s Artist Quoc Truong won many outstanding achievements such as: Gold medal at the National Professional Stage Festival in 1990, Excellent Artist award at the National Young Stage Talent Competition in 1991, Gold medal at the National Festival of Good Cheo Excerpts in 1993…Besides, there are a series of gold medals at national professional theater festivals and performances in 1995, 2011… Quoc Truong left a deep impression on the audience through many roles such as: clown Bot in “Nu tu tai”, clown Mo in “Uoc nguyen”, anh Ngo in “Hung ca Bach Dang giang”, street clown in “Tieng hat nghia tinh”, Tung lo gach in “Nguoi da bat hanh”, clown leo in “Tears of Ba Chua Kho”… With his contributions to the art of cheo in our country, in 2001, he was awarded the title of Meritorious Artist by the State and in 2015, the title of People’s Artist.Luckily for People’s Artist Quoc Truong, he not only excelled in his career but also made the audience admire him for his happy marriage with a beautiful wife 13 years younger. They then fell in love with each other and decided to get married at the end of 2001 when Quoc Truong was awarded the title of Meritorious Artist.After more than 20 years together, the couple is still as passionate as the beginning. People’s Artist Quoc Truong said that because they work in the same industry and profession, they always understand, sympathize and respect each other. “We work in the same profession so we understand each other very well.
