At the end of a European evening which kept all its promises but surely proved frustrating for its players, Real Madrid and Manchester City neutralized each other after a titanic shock marked by a succession of goals in Madrid (3 -3), just like Arsenal and Bayern Munich who left the Emirates Stadium back to back (2-2).

While the English prodigy Saka first opened the scoring (12th, 1-0), the Bavarians then turned the match around thanks to the equalizer from Gnabry (18th, 1-1) and the goal scored on a penalty by Harry Kane to give the Germans the advantage (32nd, 1-2). Coming into play a few minutes earlier, Trossard then sealed the final score at the end of the match (76th, 2-2). Just like for the Real-City clash, the suspense also remains between Londoners and Munichers. After two very competitive and balanced first matches, the places for the last four will be worth a lot during the return rounds on April 17.
