Real Madrid achieved its first victory in the Spanish First Division Football Championship this season 2024-2025 by defeating its guest Real Valladolid, with a score of 3-0, in the match that brought the two teams together this evening, Sunday, at the “Santiago Bernabeu” stadium, in the second round of the local competition.
The first half ended in a goalless draw (0-0), as Real failed to perform as expected offensively, despite the presence of the quartet Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo Goes and Arda Guler in the team’s starting lineup.
The score changed in the 5th minute of the second half, when Uruguayan midfielder Federico Valverde scored a goal for Real Madrid, with a ground shot that hit one of the Valladolid players and entered the net.
Real Madrid coach, Carlo Ancelotti, tried to revitalize his team in the second half, by introducing the trio Luka Modric, Brahim Diaz and Endrick de Souza, and indeed, Diaz managed to score a second goal for the team in the 88th minute, before Endrick scored the third goal in the 90+6th minute.
With this victory, Real Madrid raised its score to 4 points, from a win and a draw, rising to fourth place on the local championship ladder, while Valladolid’s score froze at 3 points, from a win and a defeat, occupying eighth place.
