/ Real Madrid Club announced on Friday the signing of a historic sponsorship contract with HP, making it the first brand to display its logo on the sleeves of the royal club’s shirt.
According to a statement from the club, President Florentino Pérez and Antonio Lucio, HP’s Global Director of Marketing and Corporate Affairs, signed the contract that makes HP the first brand to display its logo on the sleeves of Real Madrid’s shirt.
According to Real Madrid and HP, a global technology sponsorship agreement has been signed, and as part of the partnership, HP will become the first brand in the club’s 121-year history to place its logo on the sleeves of the Real Madrid shirt, in the men’s and women’s first football teams or in the reserves.
“HP and Real Madrid are two iconic global brands with a shared passion for delighting fans, enabling exceptional performance and making a positive impact on communities,” said Lucio. “We are honored to partner with Real Madrid and see many exciting opportunities to harness the power of HP technology and brand to create amazing new experiences for fans while empowering the communities we share.”
The signing ceremony was attended by Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti and captains Nacho and Luka Modric, and Real Madrid players will show off the new HP shirt for the first time next Sunday, February 4, against Atletico Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu.
According to the statement, the contract will accelerate the digital transformation in various areas of the club, and enhance the experience of Real Madrid fans at the Santiago Bernabéu.
