Real Madrid are set to face Arsenal and Tottenham in the fourth round of the English Premier League on Sunday.
According to the Spanish network “Defensa Central”, Juni Calafat, Real Madrid’s chief scout, will be in London today to watch the Arsenal and Tottenham match from the stadium.
She pointed out that Calafat will follow the players in the match, namely Christian Romero (Spurs) and William Saliba (Arsenal).
Real Madrid believes that the two players have great potential and are suitable for the Merengue project, but the player that the club likes the most is Romero.
The network explained, “Real Madrid expects the Argentine to become one of the best defenders in the future.”
The players’ contracts expire on June 30, 2027, and neither of them includes conditions that facilitate their exit, which makes things difficult for Real Madrid.
She explained that Real Madrid is not currently thinking of paying 100 million euros for a defender, as it considers that these prices are limited to strikers and midfielders.
