Real Madrid qualified for the Club World Cup final

Morocco – Real Madrid qualified for the final of the Club World Cup, organized by FIFA, the body that manages world football.

Real Madrid’s Spaniards joined Al Hilal’s Saudis in the final which will take place in Rabat, in Moroccan territory, on February 11, 2023.

Real Madrid defeated Al-Ahly

In the semi-finalsat the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, Morocco, Madrid won 4-1 against Egyptian side Al-Ahly.

The game really started from the 41st minute when the Brazilian striker Vinícius Júnior opened the scoring for the ‘You meringues’.

During the second half the encounter will accelerate. In the 47th minute, Madrid scored a second goal for the Uruguayan Fede Valverde.

Winning 2-0, Real Madrid looked well on their way to victory.

However, Egyptian side Al-Ahly will reduce the scoring with a goal from Tunisian defender Ali Maâloul in the 65th minute of the game from the penalty spot.

Madrid were not calm and the Croatian midfielder Luka Modric even missed a penalty in the 87th minute.

Al-Ahly tried everything to reach a tie, but in the additional time, the ‘meringues’ will add two goals by the Brazilian striker Rodrygo (90+2’) and Spanish defender Sergio Arribas (90+8’).

Real Madrid qualified for the final of the competition where they will face the Saudis of Al Hilal who defeated Flamengo by 3-2 in the other semi-final of the FIFA Club World Cup.

Remember that to reach the semi-finals, Al Hilal beat the Moroccans of Wydad by 5-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw at the end of regular time and extra time, while Al Ahly defeated North Americans from Seattle Sounders FC 1-0.
