Real Madrid tied with its host Rayo Vallecano with one goal each for the 25th round of the Spanish League.
Real Madrid scored first through Joselu with a header in the third minute of the match, and Rayo Vallecano equalized with a penalty kick by Raul de Tomas in the 27th minute, ending the first half in a tie with one goal for each.
In the second half, a debate broke out between the two teams, and the match referee sent off Real Madrid player Dani Carvajal in stoppage time for deliberately hitting the Rayo Vallecano striker.
