Realme is expected to soon introduce a first device in the market with a charging power of 240 watts

by time news

Last February, Oppo, one of the companies in the BBK corporation, presented the next generation of SuperVOOC charging technology with support for an impressive power of no less than 240 watts. This provider allows a full charge of a smartphone battery in less than ten minutes. But the actual initial performance will be from the Realme brand company, which will be the first to launch a device that supports super-high power charging.

It seems to be the Realme GT Neo 5, with the planned unveiling date being the Barcelona Mobile Expo that will open on February 27. The model will come in two versions, one with a battery with a capacity of 5,000 mAh and charging with a power of 150 watts, like the fast charging of the GT Neo 3, while the other with a battery with a capacity of 4,600 mAh and as mentioned support for charging with an extremely high power of 240 watts.

The rest of the reported specifications include the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset with 16 GB of working memory, a 6.74-inch AMOLED screen, a resolution of 2722X1240 and a refresh rate of 144 Hz. The photography setup will include a main camera with a 50 megapixel sensor alongside a wide lens with an 8 megapixel sensor and a macro sensor. The operating system will be Android 13, with the Realme UI 4.0 interface.

The fast charging will, therefore, be the highlight of the device. The launch will surely also cause rivals such as Xiaomi to invest a special effort in responding, which may lead to a leap forward in the field this year.
