Recognized Author and Winner of the Riverton Prize

Former journalist Anne Holt won the Riverton Prize for the second time for the book “Twelve Untamed Horses”.

On Thursday, the generous Riverton Prize was awarded. The prize is awarded to the Norwegian Publishers Association, the Booksellers Association and the Riverton Club for the best crime book of the year.

Holt was one of several former journalists who were nominated for the award.

Anne Holt is a recognized author, politician, lawyer and journalist. In addition to being one of the best-known crime writers in Norway, she has had a very versatile career, which includes positions as Minister of Justice, news anchor at NRK, police deputy and lawyer.

Holt is a former NRK journalist and Dagsrevyen anchor and worked at NRK Nyheter from 1984 to 1988 and between 1990 – 1991.

As a writer, Holt is known for being a pioneer in the so-called “women’s wave” within Norwegian crime literature from the early 1990s.
