Once upon a time, there were the Big Three, still very much alive in the hearts of all fans and also in the book of statistics of the world of tennis. In almost all rankings, they dominate: Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and especially the unstoppable and insatiable Novak Djokovic. Three men who have rewritten the history of tennis, becoming, according to many, the three greatest of all time. Yet, there is someone who has managed to surpass them, and by a wide margin. Indeed, someone has done better than the three of them combined, at least in a statistic that left all fans speechless.
Let’s clear up any misunderstandings. At least in this case, our Jannik Sinner, who is rewriting the history of Italian tennis, has nothing to do with it. Nor does another phenomenon like Carlos Alcaraz, perhaps one of the greatest of all time considering the age at which he achieved his breakthrough.
The one who has outperformed the Big Three and every other protagonist in the world of tennis is, in fact, a star from the WTA, a champion who is astonishing everyone with her results and thanks to a larger-than-life personality that has won the hearts of American fans. Fans who already had good reason to love her, even before her good run at the US Open, which was halted only in the semifinals by Sabalenka.

Speaking simply about tennis, of course, there can be no comparison between the Big Three and Emma Navarro. The former have won everything, dominating the circuit for twenty years or more. The latter has so far in her career won only one WTA title, the 250 in Hobart earlier this year.
It is clear that any kind of comparison would thus be embarrassing for the American tennis player, born in 2003. Paradoxically, however, the comparison between a lesser-known aspect of Navarro’s life, compared to the three phenomena of the men’s circuit, could be embarrassing in the opposite way.
From a purely economic-financial standpoint, there can be no comparison. Not everyone is aware, but Emma is indeed the daughter of Ben Navarro, an American businessman who in turn is the son of Frank Navarro, a former American football player able to create a real banking empire.
Just think that, according to what was reported by ‘Forbes’, as of today, the total wealth of the Navarro family would amount to over 1.5 billion dollars. Well beyond the sum accumulated by Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic in their careers (respectively 550 million, 220 million, and 240 million). In short, for Emma, tennis is indeed a job, but more than anything, it is a passion. Should she stop playing even today, she would not have to struggle to put food on her table.
